Absolutely, but we can get you there quicker and more efficiently, all while saving you money in the long run. Plus, third party certification through the Green Business League gives you credibilty and proves your commitment to your customers and employees. As city, state and federal regulations grow, how do you stay ahead of these ever-increasing regulations and mandates? Oddly, no one really seems to have the answers although they constantly pressure businesses to Go Green.

What does earning Green Business Certification mean?
Earning your Green Business Certified status is the first of many advantages with our system. Local and national identification as a Green Business is something that will add to your credibility at every level. As a local Green Business you will also be recommended to the other green businesses and Green Homes League members that we work with. This is not a “Buy a Membership” program. You will earn it, and it will have the kind of substance that demands respect.

How much will this cost me?
Each company and situation is unique but we pride ourselves on being accessible and practical for businesses of all sizes and needs. Can we learn from what other companies are doing to go green?
Our program allows for local meetings of the Green Business League that provide a chance to meet and network with other local Green Businesses. Green programs have often been anti-business; but without a partnership with the business community, no Green Program can succeed. We work on integrating quality information into area businesses and forming a superior network of business leaders.

What about the products my business currently uses?
The industry buzz is about the importance of the Green Supply Chain, which puts a serious emphasis on what products your company buys and what services it employs. Unless these companies are Green Business Certified, their claims may be little more than “Greenwashing” and hype. Is your janitorial service Green Certified? Do other firms supplying yours recycle? Do they have a Green purchasing protocol? What are they doing to work with sustainable resources? Are they wastefully using paper products? In the end, all these things matter.

What happens once I hire you?
One of our Certified Green Consultants will meet with you to discuss your current business practices and do an overall assessment of your current green status, including an indoor air quality check. We will help you decide which areas are most important to focus on improving and offer some easy to implement ideas to get you started, as well as a subscription to the monthly Green Management guide. Or, if you prefer, one of our consultants can come in on a regular basis to implement these changes for you, instruct your employees in green practices, and help you reach certification even more efficiently. Once your business has reached certification, you will be listed on both the local and national Green Business Directories and will, no doubt, be seen as a leader of the green movement in your community!
